ABOUT THE "AUTHOR"
Ah yes, the enviable life of a Franco-British commentator, torn between two political systems that couldn't possibly be more diametrically opposed—at least, according to anyone with half a brain.
Me? I merely revel in the absurdity of it all, comfortably uncertain whether I'm in France or England on any given day. After all, what difference does it make when you're equally perplexed by both nations' approach to governance?

Born a Frenchman, yet somehow father to a bona fide little Englishman—oh, the irony!—I am a specialist in geopolitics and defence policies, which only fuels my slightly manic obsession with dissecting these two proud systems.
Loyal to my King, but with a not-so-secret soft spot for the Emperor. No contradictions there, surely! Just as I'm a fan of both Nicolas Le Floch's suave intellect and Hornblower's stiff-upper-lip heroism. Why settle for one when you can be a connoisseur of both?

Now, I admit, there are days when the schizophrenic dance of switching between countries feels a tad... disorienting. But really, who wouldn’t find a certain charm in regularly forgetting which country they actually live in? It keeps things fresh, if nothing else. And let’s not forget, in all my schizoid glory, I try to manage to remain utterly relevant.
Perhaps that’s the real magic—juggling contradictions with a knowing smirk, while everyone else just wonders how I do it.
